Icarus is designed to calculate and display the relationship between resistance and temperature for Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometers between the triple point of Hydrogen and the freezing point of Silver. All calculations are performed using the equations and values defined in the International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS-90).

Icarus is used at Isotech in our accredited laboratories to create certificates fro PRTs and SPRTS calibrated in ITS-90 Fixed Point Cells.

Isotech Config Utility – this application makes it easy to adjust and set the various options such as sensor input types, units, resolution etc.

This allows set point programs to be created on a PC and uploaded to the ADVANCED models.

This is a proprietary software package which allows the user to extract ‘archive’ data from one or more ADVANCED Dry Blocks and to present this data on a host computer, as if on a chart, or as a spreadsheet.

PRTCalc is a free utility for those involved with PT100 platinum resistance thermometers. It allows for the accurate conversion of resistance to temperature or temperature to resistance. PRTCalc conforms with IEC 751 Amendment 2: December 1995. PRTCalc also knows the values for the earlier issue of IEC 751.

The user may enter custom coefficients to suit individual probes. Probe specific calculations can then be performed with all entered data available stored alongside a tag name for the platinum resistance thermometer supplied

RBC Software

The latest version of the code supports both the current automatic and manual models.

The newer automatic model of the RBC offers improved performance, can be immersed into an oil bath for temperature control and of course offers vastly reduced operator time. There is more information on our website here

Note:

The latest version of the RBC software is version 2.4, all the DLLs updated to version 2.4. This can be considered a new starting point. Earlier versions of the DLLs won’t work with version 2.4 of the RBC software and version 2.4 of any of the DLLs won’t work with earlier versions of the RBC software. Anyone  who has written their own DLLs  and wants to use version 2.4 of the RBC software (or later) will need to change their function calls to CDECL and recompile them. Otherwise a fresh installation is all that is needed.
